Make Your Own Play Dough

Play Dough!

It's raining again and Miss Milla is getting a little stir crazy being in the house all day, not to mention mummy is too. So as promised, the messy cooking was happening today. Phoenix isn't feeling well so he went for a nap. Mummy and Milla took the opportunity to 1. Put lip gloss on and 2. Make some Play Dough.
Tip: Are you following a recipe on your iPad? Put it in a recipe book stand on your kitchen bench. Keeps it out of the way, upright and out of messes

Play Dough

1/2 Cup Salt
1 cup Plain flour
2 TBS Cream of Tartar
1 cup Water
1 TBS Oil
Food colouring

1. Mix all the ingredients together in a saucepan... If you're working with kids like I am, mix first in a big bowl and then transfer to a pot. Saves burning little fingers who want to help mix everything.

2. Stir over heat until dough is pliable

3. Allow to cool a little and play!! ...We added more food colouring while we were playing to make it a more richer colour.

Store: In a well sealed container/bag and keep in the fridge (apparently, I'm giving it a go)

Mixing up the ingredients. We did a half batch but forgot to halve the oil! It turned out perfect.

Folding through colours- Hello sticky fingers on my iPad!... "My" iPad? more like "their" iPad. Oh well.

Excited about the results!

This Play Dough turned out great! I was very impressed by the texture. I will definitely be making this again.
