A little more quiet, just for a little bit

For the next couple of weeks over Christmas my Bloggy will be a little more quiet. I couldn't bring my paint brush with me unfortunately, too many homemade gifts (that took up a suitcase and a half!!)
However as I find little things along the way I'll keep you updated. My mother-in-law is the best at garage sales so I'll be out with her on the weekends to hopefully find some treasures to do up. Yay! Fun! 


I will still be twittering as usual and as I can blogging our holiday adventure. My family is a huge part of my life and Newly Antique wouldn't exist without them. So here's to fun, sun and family times!!

Markets

We went to the markets on Sunday, the only thing we bought was a potato spiral. The guy used his drill (yeah a Ryobi Drill!?! What an Ideas man) to cut whole potatoes into spirals on a skewer, then deep fried like chips usually are. It was novel and it was yummy! As usual there was the tie-dyed pants, multicoloured corduroy baby overalls, fresh fruit and veggies and oil paintings. We didn't get anything, but Milla was pretty tempted by the little kids windmill fans.
